Setting a From and Reply To email address to email surveys

Setting a From and Reply To email address to email surveys

There are two settings that allow you to setup your email surveys so that they appear to be sent by your company's address rather than from SightMill.

In your Project's Settings, click on the Email Survey Design menu.

Using the Reply-To field
The Reply-To field can be changed to any email address you want. When someone receives your email survey and clicks on the Reply button in their email software, this is the email address that will be used to reply to.

Typically, you would enter your company's customer support email address here.

Using the From field
The From field is set by default to 'no-reply@sightmill.com'. This is the industry best-practice and will ensure that your surveys are not classed as spam and so are received by your contact list. However, the person receiving your email will see that it has been sent by a third-party email provider (SightMill) rather than from your company.

If you really want to change this so that the email appears to be sent by your company, for example 'joe@MyCompany.com' then change the default setting. However, please note that many email systems will class your survey as spam because they can see the email has been sent by SightMill.
