How to personalize an email survey
You can personalize email surveys to, for example, start 'Dear Simon' rather than 'Dear customer'. We support a two main fields that can be included into your emails. The data to populate these personalized fields is drawn from the CSV contact list you import.
How to add personalization
The two fields you can add anywhere within your email:
[firstname]
[lastname]
Go to your email editor (in your Project's Settings click the Email Survey Design menu) and add in [firstname] and [lastname] as plain text anywhere on your email.
The information that is used to populate these fields is drawn from the contact data list that you upload. Each row of the contact list represents one contact and contains a number of fields that you can include in your CSV field when you upload the data to SightMill.
Lastly, remember to save your design with the button at the bottom of the page and send yourself a test with the button at the bottom of the page.
Note: If the field is blank in your CSV file, then no text is included in your personalized email.
